We use session cookies on our site.  The data is not saved on a permanent basis.  The use of temporary cookies offers you the advantage that you do not need to enter your personal data again and again when filling in various forms offered on our website.  The cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

A cookie describes information which a web server sends to a browser, which the browser in turn sends back when the web server is accessed.  With cookies the stateless Hypertext Transfer Protocol is extended by the possibility of saving information between requests for information.  It can be differentiated between persistent cookies and session cookies.  The former are saved permanently (for example, on a hard drive), while the latter are only saved for the duration of the session concerned.

The majority of browsers are set in such a way that they automatically accept cookies.  You can, however, deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser in such a way that it informs you as soon as cookies are sent.

Processing personal data

At various places in our website we provide you the opportunity of contacting us or making use of certain services (e.g. subscription to our newsletter, access to technical information in the „vaccines“ division).  The personal data transmitted in this case is used solely for the purpose for which it was ceded to us.  Your data is not passed on to third parties.

Safety of personal data

In order to guarantee the confidentiality of communication with you, we use the so-called secure socket layer (SSL).  According to current knowledge the encryption of 128 Bit which is thus possible with SSL is considered safe.  All browsers of a younger generation reach this level of safety.  It may be advisable to update the browser on your PC.

Amendments to this data protection statement

Due to ongoing developments, such as e.g. amendments to the Federal Data Protection Act, we will, if necessary, update this data protection statement.
