Great show: Lohmann Animal Health International received high quality visitors from around 350 companies at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE)

More than 1150 exhibitors defied the winter weather to play host to the 24,865 visitors at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia from 28th – 30th January 2014.

Lohmann Animal Health International was well equipped at the new 1500 ft² (approx. 139 m²) booth to receive customers from around 350 companies from the USA, Canada and Latin America, as well as guests from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. The main focus of Lohmann at this year’s event was on food safety and the prevention of foodborne zoonoses, which was further underlined by a presentation titled “Early vaccination for protection against Salmonella infections in poultry” given by Lohmann Animal Health International, at the TechXChange forum.

Visitor numbers took a big drop on Wednesday, 29th January as heavy snowfall and temperatures of -16°C led to the cancellation of over 1000 flights.

Despite the weather the remaining days were very busy and the feedback from the industry was very positive on the high quality of the visitors. The team of Lohmann Animal Health International was more than satisfied with the outcome, and all agreed - overall it was a great show.
